The normal physiology of women, results in a greater need of certain vitamins and minerals. This has been taken into account in the Food-State Multi for women. Women have a slower metabolic rate (5-10% lower) due to their body composition which generally consists of a higher fat percentage compared to men. Higher amounts of Iodine and the B-complex vitamins are therefore included in the product to help to increase the metabolic rate. Also, as a result of the normal monthly menstrual cycle, the iron requirements in women are increased. Stress is always a factor of modern living and this results in depletion of nutrients such as the B-vitamins and Magnesium. To help women cope with high pace lifestyles, ginseng has also been included for its ability to counteract tiredness.
